Yes. The app is free on both iOS and Android. We may add optional premium features in the future, but core meetup functionality will stay free.

Does the app track my location?

No. DiceGather never stores precise GPS coordinates per user. You pick a general area (your city) once during onboarding, and meetup intent locations you create are stored separately from your profile.

Can I host meetups for board games and wargames, not just D&D?

Yes. DiceGather supports D&D and other TTRPGs, board games, card games, and miniature wargames. Pick any game from autocomplete, or add a freeform entry.

Email + password with an OTP verification step, or Sign in with Apple. Google sign-in is planned.

What happens if someone is disruptive?

Hosts can kick or ban disruptive members from all of their meetup chats. A dedicated Banned Users screen lets hosts unban someone later if things cool off.

Meetup intents

An intent is a lightweight public signal that you want to play a specific game at a specific time, roughly somewhere. It's also an instant group chat when the first person joins.

Game autocomplete: D&D 5e, Pathfinder, Warhammer, board games, card games, or anything.
Time blocks, not exact minutes — “this week,” “this weekend,” or pick a date.
Map-picked locations, separate from your personal city.
